    Description

A fine and classic example of Art Deco sculpture during the Depression, this plaque was issued by B. F. Goodrich to honor one of its dealers, and exhibits many of the classic hallmarks of the era: stepped-back skyscrapers, streamlined cars and airplanes, and an idealized nude draped in Greek robes. The plaque was cast by the Medallic Art Company, the nation's leading maker of fine art medals in bronze and silver. Almost all of Medallic Art's pieces were struck, not cast, so this is a highly unusual example of its work.
    It measures about 13" tall x 9" wide x 5/8" thick. 7 pounds 3.7 ounces
