    Description

Terrific pair of vintage carpenter's try squares in nice clean condition.  Made of wood, brass and steel.
Combined weight is right at 16 oz. by my scale.  Age?  I have no idea but guess ~100 years old.  Indicated size is nominal as it is the usable area of the steel blade.  Total length including handle is more.
Stanley 7-1/2" says "PAT 12-29-96" so that would be 1896 patent date.  Most of the maker's mark is still visible, as are the ruler markings.  Nice indentation on the handles.  Good wood, with brass very presentable.  Some dents on the steel blade (shown) which is otherwise straight.
Second square: 10" blade.  No maker's mark, and the ruler markings are all but vanished.  Rather large 4-lug brass attachment.  Wood is in fairly good shape -- very faint punch-mark initials of "J M" can be seen if you look very closely.  I'm guessing this one is older than the Stanley.
Both squares for one price and that INCLUDES SHIPPING at no charge to you.  Please take that into account as you shop and compare.
